Taking photographs of jewelry is not easy. In this case I have made numerous attemps to capture these earrings in a way that they will look just as they are – translucent, freeform, somewhat bulky and natural. When I tried to photograph them on a white backgraound – they simply would not stay put! – they turned around, would not stay in one place, gave me a bad time!
Finally, I decided to “put them in their place” so to speak, took a beautiful peach and stuck them there to see if this would bring them back to order! I succeeded! ! I think….
This morning I looked at the photgraph with the peaches and thought to myself – “this is not too bad, but I would prefer a more neutral backgraound”. I placed a wine glass on the table and began a new series of photographs. I do not know whether they are perfect, but at least customers can view most/all angles of the earrings:
The earrings shown here on the model can give you an idea of the proportions and look of the earrings. They were photographed with a similar pair, with the same sizes, settings etc.
Finally – Would you like to know what has become of the peach after I finished taking photos? – I ate it of course!!

Believe it or not, some people simply do not like the color BLUE. I have met in my life many people who dislike certain colors. I am not a pyschologist so I do not have a professional explanation for this, but what I do think is that something in certain colors have to do with unpleasant experiences they might have had in life which left a “bug” in their subconscious minds?… well I am going to stick to my handmade jewelry designs and leave psychology to the experts. As for myself – I am open to all colors, depends where I find them whether in reality, a photograph or art print.
Anyway – here’s a ring I designed and handcrafted recently
A friend of mine said about this ring “I do not like blue, but I’d love to wear this ring anytime”. So there you go!
A great compliment from someone who does not like “Blue”.
So folks, if you like Blue or Green or other colors too, you are hereby invited to my Etsy shop to decide for yourselves:
